A recent study from the Texas Lottery Commission shows Lubbock residents don't play the lottery as often as other areas of the state, but when we do, we apparently spend the most.

The study says only about 32% of Lubbock residents actually play the lottery.  However, we have the highest monthly amount spent per player: about $74 dollars a month.

When it comes to Megamillions, on average, men spend more than women per month.  Those ages 25 to 34 spend the most per month:  about $15.00.  The least was the 55 to 64 age bracket.  They spend only about $5.00 a month.
