"This is not something that popped up one day," said Pastor David Jones.

"It began when I was eight years old."

That's when Jones got his first taste of pornography, an addiction which would consume his life for the next twenty years.

"When I was about fifteen I broke into a home to try to steal pornography because I knew it was there. I began to act out aggressively with the girls I used to date. I really believed I would one day die of AIDs or go to jail. Something was going to happen if there wasn't a change in my life," said Jones.

For years, he told no one.

Then, little by little, he confided in his wife.

"He had a deeper struggle than I knew," said Vallarie Jones.

"Basically it made me feel like I was not good enough because I wasn't made like they were, or did the things they did," said Vallarie.

Then she put her foot down, and said she wouldn't tolerate his addiction, but would help him overcome it.

"She has been by my side. She has forgiven me. She's talked to me, and she didn't give up on me when she could have," said Pastor Jones.

Jones says a calling from God also helped him his ways.

"I couldn't do this and become a minister."

He is now the pastor at the First Baptist Church in Jayton, Texas, where he shared his story with his entire congregation.

This was the resounding response.

"Thank you. Thank you for letting me know I'm not the only one."

Jones admits he's still tempted, but another calling keeps him on the right path.

"I want to show people that you can change."

Jones has written a book about his addiction, "My Struggle, Your Struggle."

It's for sale on Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble, and Mardel.
