College Station, TX (Sports Network) - Dominique Kirk posted 16 points to lead the Texas A&M Aggies to a 98-54 victory over the Texas Tech Red Raiders in Big 12 Conference play.
Joseph Jones tallied 13 points for Texas A&M (21-7, 7-6 Big 12), while Donald Sloan added 12 points. The 44-point margin of victory was the largest ever for the Aggies in Big 12 play.
Alan Voskuil had 11 points in the ugly loss for Texas Tech (15-12, 6-7).
Texas A&M scored the first five points of the contest and cruised to a 56-29 lead at intermission.
The Aggies continued to pour it on in the second half, as they scored the first eight points of the stanza and cruised to the blowout victory.
The win came at a good time for Texas A&M, which had lost three straight games to fall out of the national poll for the first time in 36 weeks.
