Wrong Turn at Albuquerque

New Mexico’s Jacob Norton held Texas Tech scoreless over six innings and Brian Cavazos-Galvez went 3-for-4 with a home run to lead the Lobos to a 7-3 win over the Red Raiders on Wednesday afternoon at Isotopes Park in Albuquerque.

 

The loss drops Texas Tech 2-3 on the season.


Russ Fornea (0-1) was charged with the loss for the Red Raiders as he gave up five runs on eight hits over three innings of work.  Jacob Norton (1-0) earned the win for New Mexico as he held the Red Raiders to just two runs on five hits over 6 1/3 innings of work.

 

Texas Tech returns to action on Friday afternoon as the Red Raiders will face the Houston Cougars at 3:30 p.m. at Minute Maid Park in Houston.
