FUTURELUBBOCK-PKG2008-02-28-1204259204.jpgThe future of Lubbock is in downtown.  Thats what city planners and business leaders say about the Hub City in 2030.  Aggressive downtown redevelopment plans have myriad residential and commercial interests setting up shop near Broadway and Main.  Southwest and Northwest Lubbock is also expected to grow, as it has been for years.  Texas Tech is also expected to grow to 20,000 students, adding to the bulk of the downtown growth.  Downtown development plans are in the works already, but it could take all of those 22 years to bring them to bare.
