LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech sophomore quarterback Graham Harrell (Ennis, Texas) was named the AT&T Big 12 Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, two days after leading the Red Raiders to a 31-27 win over Texas A&M in College Station. The honor is the second for the Red Raiders this season as PK Alex Trlica picked up special teams honors following the UTEP game. Harrell hit IR Robert Johnson (Americus, Ga.) with a game winning 37-yard strike with 26 seconds to play to lift the Red Raiders to the win. It was the third touchdown connection of the day for the duo as Harrell finished the contest with 392 passing yards and four touchdowns on 32-of-45 passing. His touchdown passes covered 51, 21, 5 and 37 yards. In addition to the last-minute score, Harrell also hit Johnson in the final minute of the first half to give the Red Raiders a 24-14 halftime advantage. The Big 12 Conferences leading passer, Harrell is averaging 311.8 yards per game and has completed 149-of-222 passes with only two interceptions. Additionally, he leads the Big 12 in total offense by nearly 30 yards over the next player. Harrell and the Red Raiders continue Big 12 competition this weekend with a homecoming date against Missouri at Jones AT&T Stadium.
