The Texas Tech Ice Hockey team rolled into Denver early Thursday morning for their first game of a three-game "Colorado" weekend. Tech started off big with a 10-1 victory over the Metro State Roadrunners. Kevin Mayoux netted four goals and Wes Shirley added another. Andrew Mossberg played stellar in goal. The defense led by John Griffith and Hal Penchan shut down the Roadrunners attack allowing just one shot pass Mossberg. The Red Raiders play powerhouse Colorado State tonight in Fort Collins and will travel to Boulder on Saturday to face Colorado.
