Knight to Coach Until 2012

Oklahoma City, OK - Texas Tech head basketball coach Bob Knight has signed a three-year contract extension. The deal will keep Knight on the Red Raider bench until 2012. Knight is just 11 wins shy of breaking Dean Smith`s mark for winningest coach in NCAA history. This would be the second contract extension for the 65-year-old coach with Texas Tech. He had two years remaining on his current deal. The board of regents at Texas Tech still have to approve the deal. If apporved, Knight could make just under $1-million dollars per season.
