Tech Police Test Tornado Sirens

Severe weather season is just around the corner, and Texas Tech officials are getting ready.

They tested the campuses tornado sirens at 11 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Officers reported the sirens were loud and clear in all but two locations.

And most students say they've dealt with severe weather all their lives, and would know what to do if a tornado was coming.

"Go inside in the center of the building and if there's a basement, go to the basement," said one student.

The sirens were not audible in many places indoors, and several students expressed some concern.
