Tech Wins in Fort Worth: Knight 5 Wins Away

Fort Worth, TX (Sports Network) - Charlie Burgess netted a game-best 20 points to lead the Texas Tech Red Raiders to a 70-60 triumph over the TCU Horned Frogs in non-conference action. Burgess knocked down 6-of-7 three pointers in the contest, as the Red Raiders (6-2) delivered Bob Knight his 875th career victory. Knight is now just four victories shy of matching Dean Smith`s NCAA Division I record for most career wins. Martin Zeno added 19 points and eight boards for Texas Tech, while Jarrius Jackson had 16 points and three assists. Neiman Owens turned in 11 points and seven boards for TCU (4-2), while Kevin Langford contributed 10 points and five rebounds. The Red Raiders shot a sizzling 60.0 percent from the floor in the first half, taking a 38-24 lead into the break. In the second stanza, Texas Tech made 5-of-12 shots from long range and 11- of-13 at the foul line, as it posted the 10-point victory. The Red Raiders knocked down 11-of-22 three pointers in the game, while TCU went just 7-of-23 from behind the arc. 11/29 23:13:45 ET
