Texas Tech may be paying more to attend the university next year. On Saturday, the board of regents spent much of the day discussing Techs current budget. Theyre looking for ways to cut costs so they can raise the salaries of their faculty, but still keep tuition costs at a minimum. On average, Tech students are paying around $7,000 per year. Chancellor Kent Hance says at most, theyll see a 4.4% increase, but he hopes the regents will find a way to keep the the tuition at its current rate: "Were gonna be doing everything we can to keep it from going up again and again and again."
