Coronado Coach Wins 400th Game

History took place on Tuesday night at Coronado High School as Lady Mustang basketball team defeated Levelland 71-57. The win also clinched victory number 400 for Head Coach Shirlene Hughes.
"You know when I first started coaching I never dreamed that I would live this long much less coach this long," Hughes said.
Coach Hughes is in her 14th season with the Coronado Lady Mustangs.
"I never think about having this many wins. That`s what makes us win as a team," said Hughes. "The memories are with the players and the teams and not so much the numbers of wins you have."
Hughes career record at Coronado is 400-136.
