RRSENTENCEPKG2008-04-10-1207878281.jpgRosendo Rodriguez was officially sentenced to death on Thursday.  As KAMC news reported late last month, Rodriguez was convicted of capital murder and given the death penalty by a Randall County jury.  The extensive paperwork involved in a death sentence was finally finished Thursday morning and Rodriguez stood before Judge Jim Bob Darnell to hear "you are here by sentenced to death."  Rodriguez will be on the next chain bus for Death Row in Livingston, TX.  He should be on his way by next week.
From there Rodriguez will have three chances to appeal his sentence.  Judge Darnell appointed him two new defense attorneys for the process; one from Midland and one from Denver City.
