Cottonkings` Anders Strome Named CHL Player of the Week

LUBBOCK, TX - Lubbock forward Anders Strome was selected as the Oakley CHL Player of the Week for Week 14 of the CHL season after recording four goals and six points in a pair of Cotton Kings contests this weekend. Strome registered the first Cotton Kings hat-trick of the season on Saturday night, scoring once in each period while adding an assist in a 6-4 victory at Arizona. He followed the performance Sunday with a goal and an assist for two points. The Winnipeg, Manitoba native currently leads the Kings with 18 goals and 32 points. In just six games with the Kings, Strome has 5 goals and 5 assists for 10 points, along with 4 power play goals. The award marks the second time Strome has received the honor and the first Kings player to win the honor since Strome ironically received the accolade on February 21st of 2005.
