With gas prices so high lately, its not just drivers that are being affected. Lawncare businesses are feeling the pinch as well. They depend on gas to power the majority of their equipment and rising gas rates have hit them pretty hard. Some businesses use diesel trucks to haul their equipment, and theyre losing lots of income just driving to their worksites. "Were doing estimates," says Brady Drake of Drake Lawn Sprinkler. "So Im going anywhere, to Borger, to Olney, were going all over the place, to Amarillo to do estimates, and if you dont get that bid, you just wasted $125 which is what it costs to fill up a diesel truck."
