Some Lubbockites are now are turning to options like Angel Food Ministries for help. The ministry provides food relief. They make food boxes available to anyone at a greatly discounted cost. Each box contain nutritious meals that will feed a family of four for a week or more. "Its the most rewarding, wonderful thing in the world," says Gwen Greer, of First United Methodist Church of Wolfforth. "When you see the families come in here, especially single moms, or elderly families, people that you know really need the extra help, its an awesome thing." Twelve area churches are providing the service, including First United Methodist Church of Wolfforth. You can call them at 866-4200 to get more information and a full list of participating churches.
