Two men are walking free after spending twelve years in prison for a murder they maintain they didn't commit.

But over in Littlefield, not everyone is convinced of their innocence.

"I could have been there that night," said Littlefield resident, Martha Ward.

Ward spend nearly every day having coffee at the Jolly Roger.

She said the evening of August 6, 1996, two men matching the description of Ramirez and Sifuentes were there behaving suspiciously.

"I believe the two defendants that were freed Tuesday killed Angie Cruz," said Lamb County District Attorney Mark Yarbrough.

The grand jury decided there was not enough evidence to indict, but Yarbrough was quick to point out that did not necessarily mean they're innocent.

"Yesterday a lot of people appeared happy that these two men went free, and I felt it was missing a little bit of respect for the fact that Angie isn't around for her family for the rest of their lives," said Yarbrough.

Ramirez and Sifuentes are less concerned with the semantics.

They are just happy to finally be set free.

"I feel good. I feel free. I still don't believe it myself," said Jesus Ramirez.

"Happy. I don't have words to say something else, just happy," said Alberto Sifuentes.
