In Saint Louis a mother was indicted Thursday for helping carry out an online hoax possibly leading to the suicide of a teenager back in 2006. Now, Frenship ISD is taking steps to teach its students about internet safety and prevent online bullying. Students are developing a technology code of conduct for the high school. They say its important take precautions when putting personal information online, and they stress that you have to be responsible on the internet. Evn if youre careful, you never know who could be on the other side of that computer. "Alot of people think that when you get on the computer you can get away with more because youre not dealing with someone face to face," says Frenship senior Lasey Ashburn. "But really, we discussed and we put into our code of ethics that its important that you realize you have the responsibility to exhibit good character on the internet as well."
