A Lubbock daycare is being investigated after a 10-month old baby falls off the changing table.

Kristal Martinez says the Vanda Early Learning Center called her yesterday...notifying her that her baby was at the hospital with a skull fracture after falling off the changing table.

After hours of x-rays and tests, her baby Jonathan was cleared of any brain damage and released, but Martinez says the daycare wouldn't tell her exactly what happened.  Martinez believes the worker left Jonathan unbuckled and unattended at the changing table when he fell.

Now, she wants to share her story with other parents about the daycare.

"I want other parents to be aware of what happened not just oh this was an accident let it go no I think everyone should know especially potential parents who are thinking about putting their kids in daycare."

Joanne Cotter, Exec. Dir. Early Learning Center:
"There is being some invetigation done by an outside group who met the reporting requirements, and we're cooperating fully...and until the report is complete and their interviews are done, we can't really comment on the details of what happened."

The daycare did place the woman involved with the accident on leave until the investigation is complete.
