MOSQUITOSpkg2008-05-29-1212115864.jpgThe recent rain has caused a surge in the mosquito population, but the Health Department is fighting back! The rainfall has left us with a lot of standing water, prime breeding ground for the annoying insects, but workers have been out spraying city neighborhoods in the early morning hours and at night--thats when the pesky insects are out the most. Workers say theyre just trying to protect residents from the diseases mosquitoes can carry.
