TOMATOESpkg2008-06-09-1213064296.jpgMany local restaurants have pulled tomatoes off their menu, but you can still get the safe varieties at the grocery store. United Supermarkets still have produce cases full of tomatoes. The store has pulled the types that are in question and only have the tomatoes that have been deemed "safe for consumption." As you heard earlier those are the cherry and grape tomatoes, and the ones still attached to the vine. Says Uniteds Eddie Owens, "All of our product this time of year comes from California, and California product has been cleared, so not any question whatsoever about anything that we have out for sale."
