TECHTEENASSAULT-VO2008-06-11-1213234889.jpgTexas Tech Police are looking a for a man suspected of assaulting a 15-year-old girl attending summer camp at the university.

Around 10 p.m. on June 6, the girl was jogging by herself near the tennis courts when she was approached by a man of either Hispanic or Middle Eastern decent with a strong accent. The man asked for directions around campus.

The two sat on some nearby bleachers, and during the conversation, the man placed his hand on the girl's thigh.

Disturbed, the girl fled and reported the incident to police. Chief Ron Seacrist says the man is wanted for simple assault.

The suspect is believed to be tall, roughly 147 lb., with dark hair and scruffy facial hair. He also wears silver glasses with large thick lenses.

Tech police are now talking to campers and counselors about safety precautions.
