Devastating Winds Tear Through Childress

CHILDRESSDAMAGE-VO2008-06-16-1213669316.jpgOn Sunday night, a possible tornado with 80 mile an hour winds swept through the small town of Childress. It caused significant structural damage including dozens of downed power lines, splintered and uprooted trees, signs flattened to the ground, and large-scale damage to many buildings. There were no reported injuries, and residents are counting their blessings as they begin to pick up the pieces after Sundays sudden storm.
