The trial of Christopher Mills ended friday with a sentence of 45 years in prison.  His stabbing victim speaks out about her ordeal and the closure she's received from the end of the trial.

His victim, 21-year-old Ariel Walden now says she can close a chapter of her life that has forever changed who she is.  March 19, 2007, Walden was leaving a class at South Plains College.  Her ex-boyfriend Christopher Mills was waiting for her in the parking lot.

They spoke briefly and he asked her to come with him.  When she said no, he showed her a gun he had in his bag and told her was going to shoot her.  Monday we heard the firsthand account of what happened after Ariel began running for her life.
"I was running and screaming help at the top of my lungs, but he caught up to me.  He had a knife and he started stabbing me.  He stabbed me in my temple, across my neck, on my chin, and through my right hand and he stabbed me about 9 times utnil I finally fell to the ground."

After stabbing her, Mills stabbed himself in the neck.  The 23-year-old was convicted of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon nd is now in the Hockley County jail.
