Khalid Aldawsari's former roommate said he learned about his arrest on the news Thursday, just like everyone else.

He told us he didn't know much about Aldawsari, because he was quiet and always stayed in his room.

His roommate is still in shock and wanted his face and voice disguised for his protection.

We also learned the suspect has a blog online, titled "From Far Away."

In the blog, he writes about classes and his time in Lubbock, but that's not all.

In a post about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, he blames the U.S. for the deaths of Muslim children and stolen money and property in Iraq.

Many of the posts are written in Arabic, so the Imam with the South Plains Islamic Center translated for us.

He said he's shocked at what he read and is worried for the safety of his Islamic community in fear of anti- Muslim hatred and backlash.
