Three weeks have passed since a hit and run crash took the life of a Lubbock woman, but police are still searching for the driver who hit the victim and took off.

On June 4th, police say 49-year-old Gloria Moreno Benson was walking along the interstate access road near 38th street when she stepped out into oncoming traffic, accidently.  They say a large blue truck struck her, then drove away without stopping to help.  Investigators say it's important to them and the family to find who was involved in this incident so, they're urging drivers and local body shops to continue looking for the suspect vehicle.
If you know anything about this hit and run, you  should call the Crimeline at 741-1000.   Investigators say they don't know yet if the driver of the vehicle will face any charges.
