A Lubbock County colt is the latest victim of a pit bull attack. It happened early this morning around 8 a.m. at a home in South East Lubbock County. Officials say the owner of two puppy pit bull mixes let the dogs out to use the restroom when the attack occurred. The colt suffered bites to its legs. Director of Animal Services Kevin Overstreet wants all dog owners to be mindful of other animals. "If theres an animal that tends to show signs of aggression towards anyone, then they need to make sure that they show extra precaution, make sure that animal is secure in an environment that it cant get out of, and be mindful of other peoples property," says Overstreet. The owner of the pups received a warning. Now those pit bull puppies are prohibited from going outside without a leash.
