According to Lubbock Police a U-Haul crashed into the building around 7:30 Sunday morning. Luckily the restaurant was scheduled to open for another few hours and only a few employees were in the building.
"We would never want for this to happen, but we're very grateful it was early this morning when there weren't many employees in the building," said Lindsey Leslie, Texas Roadhouse manager.
Police say the driver was not injured, but was under the influence. The driver was taken to jail and charged with a DWI.
Texas Roadhouse managed to get the mess cleaned and wall temporarily patched in time for the noon lunch rush. Aside from a late open, the construction didn't hurt business or bother the customers.
"A lot of the comments that I've been getting are we just got a good story today' so we appreciate it," said Leslie.
