One local supermarket has found a way to keep customers fueling up at a much cleaner price. United Supermarkets have started using ethanol in their gasoline to cut down on prices at the pump and lower emission levels. Eddie Owens with United Supermarkets says it will be hard to see an immediate difference in the cost for fuel, but hes optimistic the savings will add up. "Its supposed to be a little bit cheaper, unfortunately with fuel prices being the way they are being so volatile and changing not just daily but almost several times a day potentially its hard to realize those savings," says Owens. He isnt sure whether or not every United pump in Lubbock has a 10% ethanol mixture, but if you want to put E-10 in your car, you just have to look for the sticker above the pump that guarantees it meets government regulations.
