The Texas FFA Convention is back in Lubbock this week and it's bringing a lot of new people into the Hub City.

Now through Thursday, nearly 10,000 people will be in Lubbock.

Folks started reserving hotels as early as January for this year's convention.

If you're looking for a hotel room this week, you'll be hard pressed to find one.

"Not just Lubbock will be sold out.  You'll find the little towns around us, like Post, Plainview, Slaton, Levelland, even the little towns, so when you have something like the FFA Convention come into town, it's not just Lubbock, it's Lubbock County, it's the surrounding areas that win,"  says Rob Meyer, President of the Hotel Motel Association.

The last time the Convention was in Lubbock was 3 years ago and it could come back to Lubbock in 2011 if things go well.
