A Lubbock woman is using Facebook to match missing pets with their owners.

Laura Mata, 25, started "Lost and Found Pets of Lubbock" less than a week ago and already she's helped one person find their missing dog.

All you have to do is post a picture of your missing pet or post a picture of a pet you've found to the page.

Mata said she even plans to visit the Lubbock Animal Shelter several times a week and update the Facebook page with pictures of those pets.

"There are a lot of places in different states that actually do this. They go as far as actually doing search and rescue, pet detective work," Mata said.

To find the page, go to Facebook and search "Lost and Found Pets of Lubbock" or click this link, http://www.facebook.com/LostandFoundPetsOfLubbockTx?sk=wall
