ffaguy2008-07-17-1216349160.jpgYouve probably noticed a lot of blue jackets around town this week. Thats because the FFA has been holding its convention here in The Hub City. A lot of hard work has gone into the convention. Behind the scenes, students put out a newspaper on different 3 days, working against deadlines and making sure students are informed about the weeks events. Part of the week also consists of voting in a new FFA state president. We spoke to several presidential hopefuls about why they love FFA. Says Dean Black: "It doesnt just teach us strictly about agriculture but at the same time, it teaches us so much about ourselves and how to be leaders in tomorrows world." Amanda Meadows echoes, "I think when they put on this blue and gold jacket, it sets the standard even higher, and its just a great great organization and kids enjoy it."
