"I like making her smile."

Zoey Burns is about to have a birthday she'll never forget.

"I told her this morning and she started jumping and laughing," said Sara Burns, Zoey's mom.

A charter bus took her entire family: "Her dad and me and her grandparents on both side," said Sara.

To an amusement park in San Antonio.

"Designed for special needs children, it's designated for everybody but it's geared towards children in wheelchairs and such and forth, they can ride these rides and it's a great experience," said Sara.

The Burns family traveled with eight other families. The entire trip paid for by Lubbock Caprock Ambucs.

"We asked eight different therapy units in Lubbock and around Lubbock to gives us suggestions for eight different families, from there we said, 'Come on, let's go,'" said Joe Hoelscher, the Chairman of the Board for Lubbock Caprock Ambucs.

Zoey's parents said without Ambucs, they would never be able to give their daughter this experience.

"No way, no way. It's going to be a great experience for all of us, it's going to be great, we can't wait," said Sara.

The funds raised at Ambuc's Caprock basketball tournament paid for the trip.
