For the third straight season, the New Deal Lions are back at the UIL State Baseball Tournament and are hoping the results are a bit different than their previous two trips. In 2005, the Lions bowed out to Thorndale, losing 20-0 in the State Semifinals only to lose again in the semifinals to Gilmer Union Hill in 2006. Ironically, the Lions will have a chance at redemption against Thorndale on Wednesday as they open up their tournament run with them.
