City Council members Floyd Price and Linda DeLeon are ready to talk about where to put Lubbocks newest animal shelter. DeLeon held a meeting with residents last night, and now she wants to add the discussion to next weeks agenda. Right now, the city is considering where to build the new shelter: either McAlister Park in southwest Lubbock or Clapp Park in central Lubbock.. Councilman Todd Klein say its too soon to make a final decision. "We may have jumped the guns. I wouldnt have preferred that that meeting was last night. Were in a preliminary situation where were still looking at options. And whenever you jump out in front of an option, for whatever reason, it adds to confusion as opposed to clarifying the issue," says Klein. City leaders have talked about building the shelter in a central location where people would be more likely to stop by and adopt their next pet.
