ROUND ROCK, Texas: On Wednesday the New Deal Lions will face a familiar opponent. New Deal drew Thorndale for their State Semi-final match-up and Thorndale has been a real thorn in the side of New Deal athletics recently. Two years ago these same two teams met in the baseball State Semi-finals and Thorndale took New Deal to the woodshed, beating them 20-0. This year these same two teams met in the basketball State Tournament with similar results, so it's safe to say New Deal is looking to return the favor on Wednesday.
