Last week we told you about a Texas Tech research team that headed straight into Hurricane Dolly to gather vital weather data. Now theyre back in The Hub City with that information, helping to improve public safety. The Tech team was working on the coast near Harlingen. They deployed 22 weather stations that collected crucial information from the storm, including the hurricanes wind speed at different locations in south Texas. The team will now use the data to help engineers build structures that can withstand fierce storms like Dolly.
