At least one person has been confirmed dead as a result of floodwaters in Ruidoso, New Mexico.  The town is under water after remnants of Hurricane Dolly make their way across Eastern New Mexico.

Up to nine inches of rain fell over the weekend in Ruidoso.  The body of one person has been found and two others are still missing.  Both had been swept away by rushing waters.  Campgrounds and bridges are closed,  and about 800 people, many of them vacationers, had to evacuate.

Now several Lubbock residents owning property there are worried for their homes.  Linda Weddle is already planning to go to Ruidoso this Wednesday to check on her home.  Though her home is in pretty decent shape, she says she's praying for others who aren't so fortunate.

"Our prayers are with them and we hope that they find the people that are missing and just hope for good news for them."

The South Plains Red Cross Chapter has been placed on call to help out, and with Lincoln County declared a disaster area, FEMA plans to tour the town this week.
