Animal Shelter Issue Not Dead

Despite huge neighborhood opposition, Mayor Tom Martin and Councilman Todd Klein are speaking with the Animal Shelter Advisory Committee about building the new animal shelter in Clapp Park.Councilman Todd Klein said he wants to know all of the facts and hear all sides before a decision is made and that every option should be weighed.
Councilman Floyd Price is against the idea of building the shelter in Clapp Park which is in his district..
Last week more than 200 people showed up to a town hall meeting to voice their opposition.
According to Price more than 1200 have signed a petition against the project being builtin Clapp Park.
Mayor Tom Martin was not available for comment.
