Businesses including car washes said they're slow on rainy days, but they aren't too worried because they know once the rain is gone their business will be booming.

"Well today we're going to be kind of slow because of the rain and the clouds," said the owner of Racer Classic Car Wash.

Things were slow today for some businesses across Lubbock due to the recent rain.

"We're obviously happy with the rain just like any other part of Lubbock is," said Andrew Zamora, "We're agriculture based and rain drops are good for all of us."

Zamora said he's not too worried because everyday of rainy weather ends up averaging to four busy days of car washing.

"What that's going to do for us is get the cars dirty and we'll kind of make up for it in the days to come," he said.

Another Lubbock business, Star Landscape said the rain has them working today and will have them busy in the days to come.

"With the ground being so tough we can get out and go work it," said Dylan Burns.

"The rain will help us out."

Burns said the rains not only good for him and his business, but for all of us.

"Rain's a great thing around here," said Burns.

Both Zamora and Burns agree saying the recent rain is great for the Lubbock economy.

"Rain's a good thing for everybody around here," said Burns.

"We get a lot of people in after bad weather," said Zamora.
