The KAMC Investigates team has uncovered more problems for Levelland Mayor Waymon Jackson.

Jackson, who was elected last month, works as a licensed master electrician and master plumber. In an exclusive interview with KAMC Investigates a few weeks ago, he said the only reason he ran for mayor was to get John Agnew, the city's building inspector, fired.

Jackson came under fire after he was accused of assaulting Agnew. Video of the incident taken by Agnew shows Jackson hitting the camera out of Agnew's hand and shoving Agnew a second time.

The Texas Rangers are investigating the assault and no charges have been filed.

Monday, KAMC Investigates confirmed that Jackson works as a licensed master electrician but is not connected to a licensed electrical contractor.

Texas law requires master electricians to work for a contractor and each contractor must be connected to a master electrician.

But when KAMC Investigates looked up Jackson's license on the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation website, it said he was not connected to a contractor.

A search of the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners' website shows that Jackson is licensed as a master plumber but does not have insurance.

We stopped by Jackson's house Monday afternoon to hear his explanation behind the apparent violations but he was not home.
