A Lubbock man gets another chance at life, thanks to organ donation.

And now his family wants to get the word out.

Thirteen years ago, doctors diagnosed Andrew Love with 'end stage renal disease.'

It's a kidney disease that required Andrew to undergo dialysis treatments three times each week, for more than a decade.

But just three weeks ago, Andrew's wife Janet  was identified as a match for Andrew's rare blood type and donated her kidney to him.

Now the family is speaking out, urging others to become organ donors.

Andrew says, "Even though you may be deceased, I mean your organ is going forward and if you're a live donor then you have a part of you in somebody else- you can't lose."

If you want to be an organ donor, you can register your wish at www.donatelifetexas.org.
