1. Obama and Romney in Dead Heat
An ABC News poll out this morning shows President Obama and Mitt Romney locked in a tie - each at 47 percent. The poll also revealed that 63 percent say the country is heading in the wrong direction, but that 58 percent expect the President Obama to be elected for a second term.

2. Warmest 12 Months on Record
The past 12 months have been the warmest since U.S. records began in 1895, according to a new report from NOAA. The hot weather has been hard on farms - corn and soybean prices surged Monday after a government report showed a drought in the middle of the country is hurting the crop.

3. 3 Charged in UK with Terrorism Offenses
According to British police, three men from England have been charged with terrorism offenses after several raids last week. The men were arrested after a search of a vehicle found guns and other weapons.

4. Jailhouse Cooling Center
Some residents in Central Virginia who have been without power for ten days have been keeping cool in a local prison. The old jailhouse in Amherst County has been serving as an air conditioned emergency shelter since storms hit the area last month.

5. Cruise, Holmes Reach Settlement
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes came to a divorce agreement on Monday. According to TMZ, Holmes gets primary physical custody of the couple's 6 year old daughter Suri but Cruise will have generous custodial time with his daughter.
