Local Family Hoping for Information in the Case of Murdered Loved One

"This week's been very hard," said Travondrick Ward's brother in law, Shan McDaniel. "Can't sleep. We need closure."

23 year old Ward, know to his family as "Toby," was shot to death in front of his home last week.

As of now, no arrests have been made.

"This doesn't happen," McDaniel said. "It's not on the news anymore. No suspects, no answers, we have a lot of unanswered questions."

Ward's family had t-shirts made in hopes that someone will see them and come forward with some information.

"And with our shirts we want people to know that we're going to stick together until the end and we want justice," said Angela Ferrazas, a close family friend.

Friday was Ward's funeral.

"Yesterday was one of the worst days that anybody could go through," Ferrazas said. "You know, when you're having to carry his mom out of the church because he doesn't want to let him go. That hurts."

Ward leaves behind 4 young children.

"We just want them to step up and take responsibility for what they did to this family," Ferrazas said. "They owe it to his mom, to his sisters, his brother and let alone his kids. Because we have to answer them questions. Why is daddy not coming home? Where's daddy?"

Ward's family is selling the t-shirts to help cover funeral costs.

To purchase one, call Ayeshia Mallory at 806-3996.
