Water Boil Notice Has Been Canceled

As of 2:30 p.m. today the City of Lubbock has completed the city-wide sampling of water due to the electrical power outage, and subsequent loss of pressure in the water system, that occurred in the very early morning hour on Saturday. All samples were negative giving clearance that the water continues to be safe for consumption.
The City of Lubbock appreciates the publics response to the boil water notice. The City?s water dispatch line will remain open until 5:00 p.m. today if there are any further questions. That number is 775-2588.
The City of Lubbocks wholesale cities of New Deal, Buffalo Springs Lake, Lake Ransom Canyon, and the Reese Redevelopment Authority are also clear to lift their boil water notice.
