Just days before the two year anniversary of murder and disappearance of Lubbock State School workers Kay Harrelson and Peggy Merimon, their families have filed civil suit against the man both they and police think might be responsible.

The two families filed the suit against former state school worker Mickey Patterson.

The civil suit is asking for damages in the abduction and wrongful death of the two women.

Both families hope that the law suit will add pressure to the case and possibly stir up new facts and details.
