Matt Posgai joined KAMC-28 in June as a seasoned morning meteorologist after leaving KAUZ-4 in Wichita Falls, TX. He's seen just about everything nature can throw at us ranging from blizzards to triple digit heat to tornadoes and even hurricanes. Growing up in Florida where thunderstorms are commonplace all year long and hurricanes constantly threaten the peninsula during the summer helped spark his interest in meteorology.
In 2002, Matt decided to attend Florida State University and be a part of one of the top meteorology programs in the country. He travelled across the eastern seaboard as a member of the Florida State Marching Chiefs for football team away games. In his junior and senior years, he was a member and eventually a team leader for the FSU Weather Show on WFSU in Tallahassee, FL. From there, he graduated with a B.S. in Meteorology, minor in math, and a minor in physics before joining WTVY-4 in Dothan, AL. After leaving Dothan, his career took him westward to Wichita Falls, TX before finally ending up in Lubbock with KAMC.
Matt loves to work the morning shift since it fits his energetic personality and he hopes you'll love watching KAMC's new 2-hour morning show lasting from 5-7am Monday through Friday!
