The Texas Tech Health Sciences Center School of Medicine's class of 2016 got their white coats Friday.
It's one of the most visible symbols of a health care provider and as you can see everyone in the room is excited to put it on.
Organizers call the white coat a rite of passage for first year med students.
It marks their transition from pre-clinical to actual clinical studies.
The 150 students start their very first day of med school next week.
