"We'll have a Starbucks, two bars, a restaurant," said Rudy Leal, Director of the theater.
The Premiere Cinemas at the South Plains Mall has been in the works for two years.
"The whole process is a little slower because we're working in an existing building so you're having to work with existing steel, so the whole process was slowed down a little," said Leal.
Rudy Leal said he hopes it will be open to the public be September.
"This is the biggest IMAX in west Texas, the biggest IMAX in this area. It's about 70 feet wide and 49 feet tall, IMAX always uses two projections at two times, it has it's own proprietary 3D system that is which is awesome, unlike no other it will have one projector for your left eye and one projector for your right eye," said Leal.
It won't just be an experience for your eyes. One theater will have you feeling four different dimensions.
"D box actually interacts with the movie so if you're seeing an airplane flying and it's going down real fast, then you'll get the sensation you're falling as well."
And Leal said your taste buds will be entertained, too.
"Gourmet pizza, gourmet burgers, pizzas, chicken strips, salads, so there will be a lot of everything," said Leal.
Call that movie magic.
"I'm excited for Lubbock in general, this is going to be awesome, this is going to be an event center."
The theater will be hiring for 95 jobs. They've already begun interviewing candidates, but you can apply online at www.pccmovies.com.
