Texas Tech spoiled Texas States FBS homecoming with a dominating 58-10 win on Saturday night.

Coming off a big win the previous week over the Houston Cougars, Texas State had their fan base fired up for a big game against Texas Tech.

But the Red Raiders heard the hype and they were more than ready when things kicked off.

Tech failed on fourth down on their first drive, But the defense responded with their first turnover of the season on a Cody Davis Interception return for a touchdown.

And a week after pounding the rock against Northwestern State, the Red Raiders took to the air early and often on Saturday night taking the crowd out of the game with a 21-0 first quarter lead.

From there, the Red Raiders rolled. Seth Doege tied a career high with 5 passing touchdowns to go along with 319 yards passing, as the red raiders took care of business in San Marcos 58-10.
